SOLAR INSTALLATION - SOGA ORGANICS
IJIKA Services collaborated with SOLTERRA in a joint venture to provide solar power infra-structure, together with engineering expertise to SOGA Organics (a certified organic citrus processing company) in Port Elizabeth, South Africa this year. In fact, SOGA are the only fully compliant organic citrus growers & products in the country. After a thirteen hour - drive, our team arrived at SOGA in the fertile Sundays River Valley, outside Addo Elephant Park. A bonus treat of the trip was an elephant siting of up to 40 elephants and a stay at The Kraal Addo Country Estate.

SCOPE OF WORK
Installation of 320 Solar Panels (area of 700m²), 4 Inverters, entire Roof Mounting System and the Electrical DC/AC System. This was done by 4 guys in intense heat, temperatures reaching 54°C! Our team were also responsible for the Rigging of An-chor Points & Lifeline.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The design, supply, installation and sign off - of a 108kWp roof mount grid tied solar system.

SOGA are still in operation during the COVID-19 lockdown period. The Electrical COC and ECSA professional sign off has been completed – Wayne (project manager) and Jona than (ops and support) arrived back in Durban an hour before national lock-down!
